About the Author

Dr. Surramya Joshi received her PhD in 'Family and Community Resource Management' from The Maharaja Sayajirao Universtity of Baroda. She has authored notable technical publications during her more than 20 year tenure as a faculty member at the same institute. 

Since taking early retirement, Dr Joshi has been pursuing her passions of writing and acting. 

She has been acting in Gujarati theater productions as well as student short films for a few years. 

'Veerpasli..' is Surramya's first collection of Gujarati Short Stories. A few of the stories in this collection have also been published previously in the prestigious 'Gujarat Deepotsavi' issue of the Gujarat Magazine published by the Govt. of Gujarat. 

'Veerpasli' is published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandir - a prestigious publishing house based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
